Aperirophobia refers to fear and irrational anxiety about the infinite.

I have a vivid memory of a personal reflection I had when I was four years old at the crèche. The idea of an infinite Universe seemed inconceivable to me. Twenty-five years later, by orienting my artistic practice around questions related to cosmology, this reflection resounds even more in me.

"Imagining the infinite Universe is inconceivable. It must be able to be represented It must have limits It must fit into a box. But then who holds the box?"
